Introduction
The Premium Monolina Monochord in Ebony & Ivory finish, in C tuning, offers a richly overtone-laden, clearly major-key voice – bright, open and uplifting. The dark wenge frame and the soft, light maple soundboard echo the dialogue of Paul McCartney's „Ebony and Ivory” – black and white, masculine and feminine, yin and yang. Instead of protected ivory and rare ebony, the workshop uses sustainably sourced wenge and maple.
The C tuning is especially overtone-rich, bright and major in character – often chosen when the goal of a session is to open up and lift.

Sound and character
The C-tuned Monolina has a bright, radiant and clearly major character. The overtones speak especially richly, giving the sound an opening, uplifting quality. The denser wenge body adds mass, so the vibration sustains and travels deep into the room. The bass and fifth strings provide a fine carrier layer beneath the overtone cloud.
How to use
The C-tuned Premium Monolina is an excellent choice when you want bright, lifting sound work. It suits group meditations, yoga classes, sound massage and therapy sessions where the goal is to open up and strengthen inner resources. Light and portable, it works well in the lap or on the included small round stands close to the body.

Care tips
The Monolina unfolds best in a quiet, calm space. Check the tuning regularly with the included tuner. Alternate the two santoor mallets and two felt mallets to draw out different characters: the felt mallets give a soft, cushioned resonance, the santoor mallets a brighter, bell-like sound. Plucking with your fingers brings a closer, more intimate voice.
