Sound and character
The two-sided gathering drum produces a deep, full, heartbeat-like tone. The tall frame gives the sound rich resonance and a long sustain. The strength of the thick, durable cattle hide evokes the buffalo and bison: an ancient, grounding voice that easily leads to trance-like states. With steady rhythmic playing, heart rate and breath naturally synchronise with the drum.

A traditional ceremonial and group drum, recommended for rituals, circle sessions, full-moon drumming, shamanic journeys and group meditations. The stand provides solid support, while the mallets allow several participants to join in. Clinics, therapy centres, community spaces and individual practitioners alike use these drums. Care tips
- Let the hide acclimatise to room temperature before playing
- In cool, damp conditions the hide may soften — warm it gently (never with open flame)

- Do not place objects inside the drum or between the cords — they may get caught
- Use the mallets evenly with loose wrists
- Annually check the cords and stand
