Contents of the box
You receive a decorative box containing various raw-state mineral pieces mixed together. The exact composition may vary, but the purpose of the box is to let you get to know several types from the diversity of minerals at once. The pieces are hand-sized, with a total weight of a few hundred grams.
Why the mixed box is interesting
The mixed raw mineral box is specifically for those just starting to get acquainted with minerals, or who would like several kinds of stones on their shelf at once. The different colours, shapes and surfaces shown side by side reveal much about the diversity of nature. For those wishing to collect, it is a good starter pack, because there are several starting points in one box.
Placement at home
You can place the mixed minerals on a shelf, desk, or in a glass display cabinet. They also look good in separate small bowls, or displayed together without the box lid. If your child is interested in nature, it can be a useful illustrative tool with which you can easily explain how many kinds of rocks exist.
Cleaning and care
For raw minerals, you can sweep off fine dust with a soft brush. You can also clean harder pieces with lukewarm water and a soft brush, but wipe softer calcite types only with a dry cloth. Stones with sensitive colours (such as amethyst) may fade in prolonged sunlight, so avoid the windowsill.
Gift idea
The mixed box is a good gift for someone who does not yet have a mineral collection but is interested in nature. It is suitable for children for learning purposes, for adults as decoration, or as a simple, kind gesture. The various pieces serve for a long time as a memento and conversation starter with your guests.
