Green aventurine is a variety of quartz whose characteristic shimmer comes from tiny fuchsite (mica) inclusions; its hardness is around Mohs 7. Its lively green makes it a favoured jewellery stone. In the crystal tradition it is known as a stone of opportunity, prosperity and personal growth, this is tradition, not medical fact.
Make and care
The pendant is about 4 cm and is nickel, lead and cadmium free in line with European REACH standards. It is polished from a natural mineral, so the shimmer and green shade are unique. Clean with a soft cloth; strong, prolonged sunlight can fade the colour over time.
