Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz, its deep colour given by iron and natural geological processes; its hardness is around Mohs 7. In the crystal tradition it is known as a stone of calm and harmony, this is tradition, not medical fact.
Make and care
The pendant is about 4 cm and is nickel, lead and cadmium free in line with European REACH standards. It is polished from a natural mineral, so its shade and pattern are unique. Clean with a soft cloth; strong, prolonged sunlight can fade the violet over time.
