Bongo sound that fits in your bag
The Pocket Bongo unites the sound worlds of cajon and bongo in a flat instrument just 4 cm thick. You play it with the same finger and hand technique as standard bongos, yet it slips into almost any bag. This is the higher-pitched version: together with its lower-pitched sibling it forms a genuine miniature drum duo.
No tuning, no weather worries
Unlike skin-headed instruments, the Pocket Bongo is not affected by damp or cold air and never needs tuning: take it out and it is ready to play. That makes it a great companion for street performances, camps, school sessions or holidays - anywhere you would hesitate to bring a delicate instrument.
Mounts on a cajon, grows with your setup
With its hook-and-loop fastening you can attach it to the side of a cajon for an extra tone colour while drumming. It also mounts on the maker's mini percussion board, where the low and high versions form a compact tabletop drum set. Thanks to its flat build it even fits into the cajon bag.
Material and dimensions
The body is made of Gabon veneer with the maker's special playing surface. It measures approximately 13.5 × 13.5 × 4 cm and weighs only about 145 grams - lighter than a mug of coffee. If you are just discovering rhythm instruments, this is one of the easiest to fall in love with: place it on your lap and start playing.
