Lighting a braided plant rope is a slower, more contemplative experience than a classic stick incense. Made in the traditional Nepali craft style from rhododendron and juniper leaves on a finely braided rope, it accompanies meditation, evening relaxation, or quiet scenting of a space with a slow, calm burn.
Fragrance and experience
Juniper brings a clean, pine-forest character: cool, fresh, sharp, slightly resonant. Rhododendron adds a deeper, more resinous, warmer layer — a natural, mountain-temple atmosphere. The blend of the two plants is not pungent but quiet, calming, meditative. The braided rope burns slowly and evenly, so a 30 cm rope can release its fragrance for 2 to 4 hours, depending on how ventilated the space is.
How to use
Place one end of the rope on a heat-resistant dish or specialised incense holder and light it. Let it burn for a few seconds, then blow out the flame — the rope continues to smoulder and gives off a slow, even smoke. Use for meditation, an evening relaxation hour, space-tuning before yoga, or as a simple home calmer.
Safety and storage
Always use on a heat-resistant surface, and never leave unattended. Keep away from flammable materials (curtains, paper, fabric). Store in a dry, cool place, ideally in its original packaging — moisture can degrade fragrance and burn quality. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
