What phantom amethyst is, the fact
Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz (Mohs ~7), coloured by iron and natural irradiation. "Phantom" means that during the crystal's growth a thin layer of another mineral settled at a stage, then the quartz grew on over it; so the stone shows faint, ghostly inner outlines and layers. Every phantom is unique.
Meaning and smoothing stones
The crystal tradition sees phantom crystals as symbols of transformation, growth and new chapters, the inner layers recalling the path already travelled. The smooth, heart-shaped stone, turned in the hand, can be a quiet, soothing companion; this is tradition and folklore, not a medical claim.

Hold it between thumb and index finger and turn it with a soft stroke. It is about 3 cm; as a natural mineral, the drawing of the layers and the shade are unique. Strong, prolonged sunlight can fade the violet over time.
