A band of light that moves
A silky band of light runs across the polished surface of tiger's eye. As you turn your wrist, the band travels across the stone, like the light in a cat's eye, which is how it got its name. It comes from a parallel, fibrous structure inside the stone, and it shows best in sunlight.
Golden brown and blue-grey
Alongside the classic golden brown beads, this bracelet has darker, blue-grey ones too. The balance of colours can vary from bracelet to bracelet, as tiger's eye is a natural stone.
A blue-grey form of the stone is known as hawk's eye, a close relative of tiger's eye.
