This petite bracelet is made of deep blue sodalite beads. The natural beads are about 6 mm across on an elastic cord, and it is about 17 cm long. There is no clasp. You receive one bracelet, made in China.
Deep blue stone with white veins
Sodalite is a deep blue, sometimes greyish stone crossed by white and grey veins and patches. Among the beads you will find dark navy ones and lighter, greyish blue ones, each with its own markings, so no two sodalite bracelets are quite alike.
A cousin of lapis lazuli
At first glance it resembles lapis lazuli, but lapis often has tiny gold-coloured flecks of pyrite, which sodalite usually lacks. It is named after its sodium content.
Sodalite was first described in 1811, from rock samples collected in Greenland.
Tradition sees sodalite as the stone of clear thinking and honest words.
For denim and a white shirt
The blue goes well with denim, a white shirt and a grey jumper, on a man's wrist or a woman's. If you like cool shades, this is the bracelet we would suggest.
It is worth measuring your wrist before ordering. If it is about 15–16 cm, the 17 cm bracelet will be comfortable. Worn with a blue denim shirt, the two blues complement each other.
In the evening, take it off before your shower, and don't stretch it hard when putting it on. If you want it to keep its stretch, don't store it pulled taut, for example over the neck of a bottle. A soft cloth is enough when it gets dusty.
