A small tent for a cat or a very small dog. The base is 48 × 48 cm and the top is 40 cm high. There is a wide arched entrance at the front and a padded base inside. A light frame holds the shape, and the panels are green and orange. The whole thing weighs half a kilo and is made in China.
Because of the cushion and the fabric, the inside height is a little under 40 cm. For a bigger pet, the 58 × 58 × 48 cm tent is the one.
A hideaway instead of an open bed
Many cats creep onto a wardrobe, into a box or under the bed to sleep. This tent gives them a covered den, even in the middle of the room. It suits pets that prefer a sheltered spot to an open bed. If yours won't go in at first, put a treat or a favourite toy at the entrance.
Half a kilo is easy to move. You might carry it to the window in the afternoon, where the sun comes in, and back to its corner in the evening. The orange and green pairing is bright enough for a child's room.
Removable cover, washable at 30 °C
The cover is 100% polyester with a soft synthetic fibre filling. It opens with a zip, so you can take the padding out and wash the cover at 30 °C. If your pet's bed needs cleaning often, that makes a real difference.
Putting it together
It arrives in a small, compact pack containing the cover, the frame and the cushion. After unpacking, assemble the frame and shake out the cushion. Give the fabric and filling time to regain their shape; the creases from the packaging fade gradually.
