The seven-metal design
The head of this pendulum is shaped from seven different metals: brass, iron, copper, white metal, a gold-plated layer, a silver-plated layer and tin are placed side by side. The diameter is about 4 cm and total weight 40 grams, so it swings steadily in the hand yet does not tire you during longer work.
How pendulum work can help
The pendulum is a sensitive tool used by many in aromatherapy, herbal work, radionics, homeopathy and essential oil therapy, as well as in card readings and healing practice. The principle is that after framing a specific question, the chain amplifies small hand movements, so you can follow your own intuition by watching the direction of the swing.
The meaning of the craftsmanship and materials
Tradition holds that combining several metals supports the completeness of the pendulum’s response, because every material has a different character of vibration. The head is attached to a thin chain that can easily be passed between the hands. Indian craftspeople pay careful attention to the details, so every piece has a slightly unique pattern.
How to use it for the first time
Before working with the pendulum, take a short pause and relax your hand. Hold the chain between your thumb and index finger, supporting your elbow so the arm stays calm. Let your first question be a simple yes-or-no one. Observe in which direction the pendulum begins to swing and learn what movement means yes and what means no in your own hand.
Cleaning and storage
After use, wipe the pendulum with a soft cloth and place it in a fabric pouch, small box or jewellery case so the chain does not tangle. Avoid strong chemicals, as they can damage the gold-plated and silver-plated surfaces. This way you can keep the typical metallic shine for a long time.
