The paper adhesive tape dispenser machine enables fast and precise use of water-activated (gummed) paper tape. The machine's built-in water chamber automatically moistens the underside of the tape while the user pulls out the desired length — eliminating the need for a separate sponge or water bowl. It is an ideal solution for webshop operators, handcraft workshops, and packaging businesses handling daily high-volume sealing tasks.
How the machine works
The top of the machine has a tape roll holder compatible with most standard 72-76 mm inner-diameter rolls. The tape passes through the water chamber, where a sponge roller applies exactly the amount of water needed to activate the adhesive. The dispensed tape section is cut at the outlet by a sharp fixed blade, producing a clean, straight edge every time.
Technical specifications and construction
The machine measures 50x30x30 cm and weighs 10.3 kg gross. The frame combines metal and plastic: the load-bearing parts are steel, and the water-contact parts are corrosion-resistant plastic. The dispenser operates without electricity — the user pulls the tape mechanically to the desired length, and the built-in water mechanism automatically activates the adhesive with every motion.
Productivity and time savings
Compared to manual sponge activation, the machine is an order of magnitude faster: an average user can seal 200-300 parcels per hour with it, whereas the manual method delivers 80-120. For an average webshop shipping 50-100 parcels per day, this saves 1-2 working hours daily. The machine's investment cost is typically recovered within 1-3 months from the saved labour time.

Maintenance and cleaning
Weekly maintenance: empty the water chamber and rinse it with clean water so that residue washed from the gummed tape does not settle inside. The sponge roller should be replaced or thoroughly washed once a month. The cutting blade should be removed and dry-cleaned once a year to preserve its sharpness. During irregular use, empty the water chamber so that no mould forms during storage.
