Palo Santo Beads – 100-Piece Set, 0.6 cm Diameter

One hundred Palo Santo beads, 0.6 cm diameter, for your own necklace, bracelet or mala. Peruvian origin, SERFOR certified.

This set of one hundred Palo Santo beads is for those who appreciate the personal touch of handmade jewellery. The round beads, 0.6 cm in diameter, easily accept an elastic or cord of about 1 mm thickness (cord not included), so you can finish your own necklace, bracelet or mala in just minutes.

The sacred wood that rests on the ground for years

Palo Santo received its name from the Andean peoples of Peru: it means "holy wood". Tradition holds that only wood that falls naturally and rests on the forest floor for three to four years carries the true aroma. During this time the essential oils mature, the wood densifies, and that warm, citrus-honey scent develops which the whole world seeks. Your beads are crafted from such matured wood.

SERFOR certification: proven origin

The Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation operates an office called SERFOR, which designates strictly controlled forests where Palo Santo gathering is permitted. No living tree is cut down; only naturally fallen branches and trunks are processed. When you choose this set, you support a chain that reaches from the gatherers all the way to the protection of Andean forests.

Ways you can use the beads at home

You have countless options: you can string a 108-bead mala for meditation, a simple weekday bracelet, or a child's bracelet as a gift. The wood is light, so it remains comfortable on the wrist throughout the day. Many people find it calming and homelike to wear a piece of matured forest aroma on their skin. The scent is soft and subtle, never overpowering — best experienced up close.

Size and packaging

Each bead measures about 6 millimetres across, and the hole accommodates a cord up to 1 mm thick. The whole package weighs just 10 grams and arrives in paper packaging. Wood is a natural material, so the pattern and shade of every bead is unique — no two beads in the set are exactly alike.

Storage and care

Palo Santo needs no special care. Store the beads in a dry place, ideally in a small cotton pouch or wooden box. Should the aroma fade after years, gently rub the beads with a soft cloth and the scent will revive. Do not wash with water, as the wood is absorbent.
