This is the larger copper-coloured bowl. It is made of stainless steel, 22 cm across and 5.5 cm high, and weighs about 140 g. Raised paw prints run round the side, and a black non-slip rim sits underneath. You get one bowl, made in China.
For medium and larger dogs
A 22 cm bowl gives a medium or larger dog plenty of room for its muzzle. It doesn't have to press its nose against the side to get at the last mouthful. If you have a small dog or a cat, the 18 cm version will be more comfortable for it.
The base is wide and the sides slope outwards, so it doesn't tip easily when your dog leans on it. In summer a big dog soon empties a water bowl, so on hot days check it a few times during the day.
One for food, one for water
If you want one for food and one for water, order two. Side by side, the two copper bowls make a tidy feeding corner, and they look especially good on a wooden or terracotta floor.
On tiles and wooden floors the black rim helps hold the bowl in place. It slides less while your dog eats.
Raised paw prints, easy washing
The paw prints are pressed into the steel, so they won't wear off the way a painted pattern can. Stainless steel is hard-wearing and easy to keep clean. Wash it in warm water with washing-up liquid and a soft sponge, then rinse. Steel wool can scratch the shiny finish, so it's best avoided.
If you use it for water, rinse it out each morning before refilling.
