A stainless steel pet bowl with a shiny copper-coloured finish inside and out. It is 18 cm across and 5.5 cm high, and weighs about 100 g. Raised paw prints run round the side, and a black non-slip rim goes round the base. You get one bowl, made in China.
Copper colour on steel
The bowl is stainless steel; the copper colour is only the finish. Steel is hard-wearing and won't shatter if it falls on a stone floor. The paw prints are pressed into the steel rather than painted on, so they don't wash off.
Warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft sponge are all you need to clean it. Leave out the steel wool and the scouring side of the sponge, as they can scratch the shiny surface.
For a small dog or a cat
We recommend the 18 cm bowl for a small dog or a cat, for food or for water. Its wide, low shape lets your pet reach every last bite, even at the edges. If your dog is bigger, the 22 cm version will suit it better.
It works for wet and dry food alike. Steel doesn't hold on to smells, so if you use it for water, a daily rinse and a refill are enough. At 18 cm it fits on a sheet of A4 paper, so it takes up little room in a kitchen corner or behind a door.
The black rim underneath
On tiles or wooden floors the rim helps hold the bowl in place, so your pet pushes it around less with its nose. The bowl is light, though, and a very eager eater can still move it. If that happens in your home, stand it against a wall or in a corner.
