A palm-sized brush for dogs' and cats' coats. Its oval back is dark brown wood, 9 cm long and 6.5 cm wide, and it weighs about 60 g. Underneath is a white, flexible rubber face covered in cone-shaped pins of different lengths with rounded tips. A black elastic strap runs across the back. Made in China.
The grain shows on the wooden back, which carries the P-AW logo. Being palm-sized, it is easy to steer on a small dog or a cat.
Rubber pins for moulting time
In spring and autumn many dogs and cats shed more hair. That's when the rubber pins help gather dead hair and surface dirt before they end up on the carpet.
You can use it on a dry coat too, not only at bath time. The loose hair collects between the pins, where you can pick it out or rinse it off the rubber. The strap is elastic, so it fits snugly on smaller and larger hands.
It brushes while you stroke
Slip your hand under the strap and you don't need to grip the brush; your palm simply rests on the wooden back. You run it along your pet as if stroking with your hand, while the pins gently work through the coat and massage the skin.
At bath time too
Its packaging calls it a bath and massage brush. In the bath, move it in small circles over the shampooed coat to spread the lather.
Afterwards rinse the rubber with clean water and dry the wooden back. If you bath your pet often, leave the brush rubber side down on the edge of the bath to dry.
