An oval stainless steel water fountain for cats and small dogs. The tank holds 2.5 litres. A small pump lifts the water up through a curved spout and lets it trickle back into the tank, so the water is always moving. The fountain measures 24.5 × 19.7 × 12.2 cm and weighs 690 g. Made in China.
Running water instead of a still bowl
Many cats would rather drink running water than water from a still bowl. If your cat likes to drink from the tap, the fountain gives it the same at home. The water circulates all day, and small dogs can drink from it too.
Power and water level
The pump runs on 5 volts through a USB plug and uses 1 watt. To use a wall socket, plug it into a USB mains adapter, the kind you use to charge your phone.
Even running non-stop all year, it uses only about 9 kilowatt-hours of electricity. Put it near a socket, where the lead won't get under anyone's feet. Pushed against a wall, the oval fountain takes up little room.
A narrow window on the side shows the water level, marked MAX and MIN. When the water gets close to MIN, top it up. Don't fill it with water warmer than 35 °C.
Cleaning and changing the filter
The stainless steel tank is easy to clean. Always unplug the USB lead before taking it apart. The enclosed user manual explains the details.
The water circulates through a filter, which needs changing from time to time. You'll find replacement filters in our shop as well. The fountain is meant for pets, so don't let children play with it.
