This is the larger size of the pink rose quartz harness. Its packaging reads S, 4–8 kg, and it weighs 90 g. Made in China from light pink, fine grid-weave 100% polyester, it has light brown straps and a padded grey lining.
Shih tzu and mini dachshund size
4–8 kg is about the weight of a shih tzu, a miniature dachshund or a smaller Jack Russell terrier. Breed is only a guide; what matters is your own dog's weight. Under 4 kg, the XS size is the one to choose.
If your dog is still growing, you can let the straps out, but check every few days in the first weeks that the harness has not become tight.
The rose quartz paw
Next to the lead ring on the back hangs a silver-coloured metal paw, its pad a round rose quartz. Rose quartz is traditionally called the stone of love, which makes this harness a fitting gift. You can take the charm off and move it to a collar.
It arrives threaded onto a printed card showing the size and the stone, so you can give it as a gift just as it came. If your dog chews everything, put the charm away whenever you are not around.
Putting it on
Pass the neck opening over your dog's head; a buckle on each side closes it under the chest. The straps adjust at the neck and on the sides, and it fits well when two fingers slip between strap and body.
Grey reflective trim runs round the edge, so if you walk your dog in the early evening, it shows up better under street lights. The size is also marked S on a label sewn into the lining.
