A refreshing balm for those who work with their body
The muscle vitality variant of Owl Balm BIO is the family's stronger member: rosemary, peppermint and camphor essential oils are added to the organic beeswax, sunflower oil and shea butter base. If you start the morning with a jog, train weekly, garden, chop wood, or your work involves physical strain, this balm was made for massaging strained muscles. Your skin warms noticeably, and within a few minutes a lively, refreshing sensation spreads over the treated area.
When and how to use it
After training or physical work, once you have showered and your skin is dry, take a hazelnut-sized portion of balm. Massage it onto the tired muscle groups: calves, the back of the thighs, shoulders, the base of the neck, the middle back. Work with firm, decisive motions — the balm helps the muscles relax while the essential oils bring a warming sensation. During the massage your blood flow becomes livelier, and you will like how the tightness eases.
Where not to apply it
Do not use it on open wounds, fresh bruises within the first 24-48 hours after injury, or on inflamed skin. Do not apply to the face, eye area or sensitive zones (genitals, armpits). For expectant mothers in the first trimester it is not recommended, as rosemary essential oil is traditionally avoided — for later use, consult your doctor. Not recommended under three years.
Who muscle vitality is for
For regularly active adults: runners, cyclists, hikers, yogis, weightlifters; for those in physical work; for older people whose muscles are stiff on cold mornings. The foot care variant of the family is gentler for tired feet, the quiet winter variant for breathing — if you want focused help for the muscles, choose this variant.
How to store it, and how long it lasts
Store in a cool, dark place. The jar is stable unopened until the expiry date on the packaging; once opened, it is best to use within 6-12 months. If you take it in your backpack on a trip and the balm softens from warmth, it firms up again in a cool place.
