Sound and character
This 11-tone outdoor xylophone — in a traditional amadinda arrangement — produces a full, long-resonating sound. A special suspension and bearing system delivers clear, fine yet powerful tones while letting the bars vibrate freely. The bars keep ringing even if someone walks across them. The pentatonic tuning means there are no "wrong" notes — every strike fits harmoniously.
How to use
A durable outdoor instrument for clinics, parks, gardens and playgrounds. The amadinda-style layout invites rhythm and group play: two or three people can play in parallel, alternating strikes together. For accessibility, building it onto a stone frame raises the playing surface, creates a resonant space, and lets wheelchair users reach the tones easily.
