Giant cherry pepper is the larger version of the classic cherry pepper. Vigorous growth, with giant fruits. The fruits are upright, hot in flavour. Very prolific, and tolerates weather extremes well — a reliable choice for the variable Hungarian summer.
Growing
Sowing time: February–March in seed trays. Transplanting: late May. Spacing: 50×40 cm. Light support helps with the large fruits.
Fruits ripen continuously from July. Uses: pickling (large cherry peppers, fermented), hot pepper for seasoning, hospitality service. The larger size means more cherry pepper per fruit — efficient pickling at home.
