What is this pendulum made of?
The upper round part of the pendulum is made from an orgonite base: a solid resin body containing metal shavings and small mineral pieces. The lower tip is shaped from polished black tourmaline into a classic teardrop form. The two parts are joined by a firmly attached small metal loop, to which a fine chain is connected.
How it feels in the hand
The pendulum has a pleasant, hand-friendly weight that is not heavy. The surface is smooth and never sharp, and the chain length is designed so the pendulum is easy to hold between two fingers. If you have only tried wooden or metal pendulums before, the denser feel of the stone tip may be a pleasant new experience for you.
Appearance and ways to keep it
The black tourmaline tip has a restrained, elegant effect, so the pendulum is also an attractive decorative piece on a shelf, a display cabinet or a desk. Many people keep it in a handbag, others place it in a desk drawer. If you take it on a trip, it is wise to store the chain in a soft pouch so it does not become tangled.
Cleaning and care
Wipe the round orgonite body with a soft dry cloth. Clean the black tourmaline tip likewise with a soft cloth, avoiding chemicals and strong cleaning agents. Do not pull the chain forcefully and do not store it knotted up. A simple soft fabric pouch is the best storage solution.
What to keep in mind when choosing
Since the tip is a natural mineral, small surface differences and shiny spots may appear. This is not a flaw, but a feature of natural stones. If this is your first pendulum, please remember that the chain is finely made and should not be exposed to strong pulling.
