Indian Desi Gulab — the scent of the classic rose
The Desi Gulab aroma oil from the Organic Goodness range brings the classic rose scent loved across India into your home. The name Desi Gulab refers to the traditional Indian rose — warm, deep, slightly sweet floral scent that is not suffocating or sickly, but homely. One or two drops are enough to fill a room on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
How is this aroma oil made?
This oil is not a standalone essential oil but a carrier-oil-based fragrance blend: coconut oil, sunflower oil and jojoba oil form the base, into which the plant-based oils providing the rose scent are mixed. The amber-coloured bottle protects the contents from light, so the scent stays fresh longer. This base blend also means the oil was made specifically for room fragrancing, not for internal use.
What is it used for?
A few drops in an aroma diffuser fill the living room or bedroom with rose scent for hours. Dripped onto potpourri it refreshes the dry flowers and makes them fragrant again. It shows itself especially well in a room after airing — the warm floral scent settles onto the fresh air, and the space becomes welcoming at once.
When is it good to use?
Many like it in the winter months when it makes up a little for the absence of flowers in the home. On festive occasions, before welcoming guests it also comes in handy — the scent of rose gives a kind first impression. Before evening meditation or quiet reading it is a pleasant companion too, because rose is traditionally the scent of calming and emotional softening.
What to watch out for during use?
The oil is intended for external use only — do not consume, and do not apply directly to the skin undiluted. Keep away from children and pets, store in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight. Close the bottle cap firmly after use so the scent does not escape. A small bottle — 10 ml — lasts for many weeks or even months, because only a few drops are needed at a time.
