Organic Digestive Rooibos Tea 1kg Nagy kiszerelés
This rooibos-based blend is built specifically for after-meal service, drawing on traditional herbal companions. South African rooibos (caffeine-free) is layered with star anise (a soft, sweet digestive note), licorice (natural sweetness, smoothing to the throat), mint (a fresh finish), chamomile (gently calming), and lemongrass (clean aftertaste). All ingredients are from certified organic cultivation. Offered in 1 kg trade nagy kiszerelés with South African rooibos.
Flavour profile
Opening the pouch brings fresh, sweet-spiced notes of star anise and mint, over a background of rooibos earthiness and licorice sweetness. In the cup, rooibos holds the spine (honeyed-earthy, full-bodied), star anise adds a soft, anise-sweet layer, licorice provides natural sweetness (no sugar needed for a rounded cup), mint gives the fresh close, and chamomile a gentle calm. Sugar is unnecessary — licorice already sweetens. Note: for guests with high blood pressure, occasional consumption is fine, but regular drinking is not recommended (licorice can raise blood pressure).
Who is it for?
Restaurants and bistros (after-meal service, well-received as an alternative to classic anise digestifs), wellness spas (post-treatment), holistic and health lifestyle shops, and businesses building an own-brand "detox" or "digestive" line. Particularly suitable for evening menus because of its caffeine-free nature.
Preparation tips
Hot: 2-3 g leaf, 200 ml at 95 °C, 5 minutes — rooibos does not turn tannic with longer steeping. Cold brew: 5 g leaf in 250 ml cold water, 6-8 hours in the fridge — a pleasant, sweet-minty drink. Restaurant tip: offer a small serving (150 ml, in a glass) at meal's end as a digestive alternative to espresso. Iced with lemon for summer.
Storage and shelf life
Sealed, 24 months from production in a dark, dry, cool (max 22 °C) place. After opening, transfer to an airtight metal tin and use within 6 months. Mint and star anise essential oils are volatile — airtight storage preserves aroma. Warning: due to licorice content, regular (daily) consumption is not recommended for guests with high blood pressure or pregnant — the host should communicate this.
