What is it good for?
Bio Bitter Chocolate Chai Tea can be a great companion on cool afternoons when you want to top up your energy reserves with a warm, substantial drink. In the morning, when starting your day, it offers a gentle caffeine lift without the intensity of coffee. During a work break in the afternoon, it can help restore your concentration while the mood-lifting effect of cacao and spices subtly brightens your mood. It is also an excellent choice as a companion for conversations with friends, family gatherings, or winter evening reading. Many enjoy it hot, but poured over ice with a splash of plant milk it also offers a refreshing experience.
Who do we recommend it to?
We recommend it to those who enjoy experimenting in the world of tea and are open to flavours beyond the usual. It is an ideal choice for you if you love the spicy character of chai but also want a deeper, cacao-rich layer. For chocolate lovers who seek not syrupy sweetness but the honest character of pure, bitter cacao. Also for those who follow a conscious lifestyle, pay attention to organic quality, and wish to support sustainable ecological farming. As a gift it can be warmly received by anyone who values handcrafted, small-batch products.
Brewing tips
Prepare the blend with fresh, filtered water. Bring the water to a boil, then let it rest for a few seconds so the temperature drops to around 95 degrees Celsius, as this allows the spice aromas to come through more clearly and prevents excess tannins. For one cup (approximately 250 ml), add 1 teaspoon of the blend and steep for 4-5 minutes. If you prefer a stronger, richer drink, prepare it the Indian way: heat it with water and plant milk (almond, oat, coconut) in equal parts, add a teaspoon of coconut sugar or maple syrup, and simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, then strain. Leftover brew can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours and enjoyed as iced chai.
Storage and care
The essential-oil-rich spices in this tea are sensitive to light, humidity and strong odours, so please store the blend in an airtight, dark container in a cool, dry place. Do not keep it in direct sunlight, near a radiator, or close to spicy foods and scented cleaning products, as it may absorb their aromas. The original packaging is also suitable for longer storage if you carefully reseal it after each use. Rinse the teapot and strainer with warm water only, without detergent, so the aroma of the next brew remains clean.
