Orange winter squash is a modern, compact variety. Suitable for outdoor home garden cultivation, with medium-strong growth. The fruit is elongated, pear-shaped, with bright orange flesh. Stores well, and its striking appearance makes it usable as ornamental squash too.
Growing
Sow in early May in the garden. Plant spacing 80 cm, row spacing 1.2 metres.
The squash ripens in September–October. Uses: roasted squash, squash soup, pumpkin pie, ornamental squash for autumn decoration. Stored cool, keeps its quality until Christmas.
