The Octave Sound Massage Bed is a horizontal monochord built from a cherry wood frame and an ash wood soundboard. Total dimensions 204 cm (including handles) x 80 cm x 70 cm height, lying surface 196 cm x 80 cm. The lying height can be chosen between 70 and 80 cm at the time of order, and load capacity is 120 kg. The cherry-frame version weighs around 50 kg. Made in Germany with biological hard wax oil treatment. Accessories include feet, handles, a tuning device, a tuning key and replacement strings.
Sound and character
The instrument carries 60 strings: 30 overtone strings tuned to d and 30 bass strings on either side tuned to D. The rich, deeply vibrating character of the D note is especially soothing. The soundboard, curved in two directions, contributes to the fullness of the tones and the long sustain. Even a simple stroke across the strings produces overtone-rich, spherical music.
How to use
The bed is ideal for sound massage practitioners, sound therapists and wellness professionals who wish to guide the client into deep relaxation through the power of sound. The client can rest comfortably on the gently curved surface while you create physically perceptible vibrations by playing the strings. The monochord section is mechanically decoupled, so the client's body weight does not affect the tuning.

Care tips
- Help the client up after longer sessions, as circulation may be unstable.
- Check string tension regularly.
- Always empty the lower tray before flipping the lying surface.
- Do not stand on the rolling stool, and watch your fingers around the headrest.
