The Octave Monochord in D tuning, with bag is one of Feeltone's most beloved large instruments. It is strung on both sides, so the interplay of overtone and bass strings creates a continuous, swaying sound space. The included bag, foot and round stands allow you to play standing, seated or horizontally.

Sound and character
The full, spherical voice of the octave monochord unfolds from the deep, grounding vibration of the D fundamental. Played on both sides, the overtone and bass strings weave an uninterrupted, swaying tapestry in which the listener can immerse fully. The hertz frequency can also be set from 440 Hz to 432 Hz.
How to use
Standing upright, the instrument connects sky and earth like a tree: it can be played while sitting cross-legged, on a meditation cushion or standing. Stroke the overtone strings on one side, then the bass strings on the other in an even rhythm, so the carpet of sound flows continuously. With the round stands it can also be played horizontally, sitting on a chair.

Care tips
- Let the instrument adjust to room climate before playing
- Alternate overtone and bass sides during play to keep the sound carpet unbroken
- When mounting on the stand, be careful not to pinch your fingers
- The brass pins on the bridges can be sharp – handle with care
- Tune regularly and avoid over-tightening
