Sound and character
The double-sided octave monochord lets bass and overtone strings sing together. As you stroke the overtones on one side, then the bass on the other, a continuous, rocking carpet of sound builds up. This wave-like resonance settles the body deeply while the overtones weave subtly through the room.
How to use
Mounted on its wooden plate, the instrument can be played vertically — sitting cross-legged, on a meditation cushion, on a chair, or even standing. With the round feet you can place it horizontally, and the extensions raise it for comfortable seated play. A wonderful tool for sound baths, sound meditations, ensemble work, and therapeutic sessions.
Why this product
The travel set is for practitioners who refuse to compromise on quality when on the road. You get the full feeltone build, plus every accessory needed and a dedicated bag — ready for travelling sound therapists and group facilitators.
Care tips
- Always retune before play, as travel and temperature affect string tension.
- Alternate sides slowly to keep the sound carpet continuous.
- Refresh the wood once a year with a thin coat of hard wax oil.
