The Sunset necklace is strung with warm brown and amber-coloured faceted beads. A finely detailed, silver-coloured butterfly pendant hangs at the centre, and larger, irregular decorative pieces and tiny silver-coloured spacers sit between the beads. It is about 42 cm long, weighs about 9 g and was made in China.
The colour of amber
Amber is fossilised tree resin. On the Baltic coast people still gather it from the sand after storms, and the largest deposits are still found there. We know it by its honey-yellow and brownish colour, which is the colour these beads carry, while the name Sunset points to the similarly warm light of the setting sun.
With a camel coat or an olive jumper
Warm tones come into their own in autumn, with a camel coat, an olive jumper or a cream blouse. In summer the brown beads and the silver-coloured pendant stand out clearly on a white linen dress. If you like wearing brown and beige in autumn, this necklace will sit easily among the clothes you already have.
The Nymph bracelet set of the same name has gemstone beads in sunset colours. Wear the two together and the browns of the necklace and the warm shades of the bracelets clearly belong to the same family of colours.
Store it laid flat
After wearing, lay the necklace flat in a drawer or put it in a small pouch so the beads do not scratch each other. Take it off before swimming or bathing, and wipe it now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Shape, shade and pattern may vary slightly from bead to bead.
