Sunset is the warm, earthy member of the Nymph bracelet sets. It contains several bracelets with gemstone beads in sunset colours and natural earth tones. Made in China. Laid flat, the bracelets measure about 8 cm, and the full set weighs about 12 g.
Why the sky turns red at dusk
In the evening, sunlight travels a longer way through the air than at midday. Much of the blue light is scattered along the way, while the reds still reach us, which is why the lower sky glows. When there is a lot of haze or dust in the air, the effect is even stronger, and the same thing colours the sky at sunrise. Beads in this set recall that warm late-afternoon light.
For autumn and summer evenings
Warm shades go well with brown, camel, olive and cream. In summer they look lovely peeking out from the sleeve of a white linen shirt, and for a dinner in the garden you can wear the whole set on one wrist. If you like earth tones, this set will fit right in with the clothes you already have.
Should you want a necklace as well, the Sunset necklace in the Nymph line has warm brown and amber-coloured beads with a silver-coloured butterfly pendant.
Keep them apart from metal jewellery
Store the bracelets in a small pouch, away from metal jewellery, so the beads do not get scratched. Take them off before swimming or bathing, and wipe them now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Bead shades may vary a little from piece to piece and from the photos.
