Full Moon is the high-contrast version of the Nymph bracelet sets. Among its several bracelets you will find gemstone beads in pale, moonlit shades alongside deeper, warm tones. Laid flat, the bracelets measure about 8 cm, and the whole set weighs about 12 g. Made in China.
The two colours of a rising full moon
A full moon rises in the east at about the time the sun sets in the west. While it is low in the sky it looks orange, sometimes reddish, and as it climbs it turns whiter. The reason is the same as for a red sunset: near the horizon the moonlight travels a longer way through the air. Pale and warm beads in this set recall those two colours.
Two or three at a time
Contrasting beads stand out most on plain clothes, whether black, white or navy. Worn two or three at a time, the light and dark beads are easy to tell apart. On white, the warm beads come forward; on a dark outfit, the pale ones do. You can also split the set between both wrists.
From the same Nymph line, the Full Moon necklace has bright orange and red beads with a silver-coloured butterfly pendant, close to the colour of a rising moon.
A soft cloth is all they need
Wipe the beads now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the bracelets out of water and take them off before swimming. If you are not wearing the set for a while, put it in a small pouch away from metal jewellery. Bead shades may differ slightly from the photos.
