The pattern and the colour
These trousers are hand-painted in India with a Greek-inspired pattern in gold and blue. The blue gives the trousers a calm, slightly maritime feel, while the gold detailing lifts the look and makes the design feel hand-finished rather than mass-printed. Because each pair is painted by hand, small variations between pieces are part of the character of the garment.
Fit and feel
The cut is loose and flowing, in the spirit of the wider Nomad Sari trouser collection — comfortable to wear in warm weather, easy to layer over with a light shirt or a longer top. The L/XL size is designed for a relaxed fit rather than a fitted silhouette, so the trousers move with you rather than restricting movement at the hip or knee.
Material and origin
The trousers are sewn in India from viscose, a fibre that drapes softly and stays cool against the skin. Viscose is well suited to summer trousers because it feels light, breathable and comfortable in higher temperatures. The garment weighs around 200 g, which keeps them easy to pack for a trip away.
Care
Hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a gentle cycle in a laundry bag if your machine has the option. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade so the hand-painted colours stay rich. Iron on a low setting on the reverse side if needed, taking extra care over the painted areas.
