The pattern and the symbol
These trousers are hand-painted in India with a blue and gold Evil Eye design. The Evil Eye is one of the oldest protective symbols across many cultures, traditionally believed to guard the wearer against unwelcome attention. On the trousers, the motif appears as a calm, repeating decoration in cool blue with warm gold detailing. Because each pair is painted by hand, small variations between pieces are part of the character of the garment.
Fit and feel
The cut is loose and flowing, in the spirit of the wider Nomad Sari trouser collection — comfortable in warm weather and easy to wear with a light top, a vest or a longer shirt. The L/XL size is designed for a relaxed fit rather than a closely fitted silhouette, so the trousers move freely with you.
Material and origin
The trousers are sewn in India from viscose, a fibre that drapes softly and stays cool against the skin. Viscose is well suited to summer trousers because it feels light and breathable. The garment weighs around 200 g, easy to pack for a trip or a longer travel day.
Care
Hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a gentle cycle in a laundry bag if your machine offers the option. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade to protect the hand-painted colours. Iron on a low setting on the reverse side if needed, taking extra care over the painted areas.
