Nomad Sari's Sky Meets Earth scarf measures 170 × 50 cm and is made from a light, finely striped fabric. One half is olive green with red and black stripes, the other pale, with soft blue, pink and orange stripes. A black printed compass and lotus flower with the NS monogram decorate it, and the ends are fringed. According to the brand, it is handmade in Nepal.
Where sky meets earth
According to Nomad Sari, in Nepal a scarf like this is placed around the shoulders of someone setting out on a journey. Each Travel Blessing Scarf has its own wish, and Sky Meets Earth is for balance, solid ground underfoot and the possibilities ahead.
For a mountain hike or a long walk
It is light and, folded, fits in a rucksack pocket, so you can keep it with you on a hike or a long walk. When the wind picks up at the summit or a lookout, wrap it around your neck, and when you warm up, tie it to a rucksack strap instead of packing it away.
Anyone who loves walking in the hills and is planning a bigger trip will find a use for it. On a summer hike it can be tied as a headscarf, and the 50 cm width covers both head and neck. You do not need the Himalayas for it, as it is just as handy on a walk in your local hills.
Olive or pastel on the outside
The darker olive half suits an autumn coat or walking clothes, while the pale pastel half goes with summer dresses and shirts. Turn whichever half you like outwards, depending on what you are wearing. The fringes at both ends pick up the colours of the stripes.
