Nomad Sari Kaftan – White with Blue and Gold Fish Print

White cotton kaftan with blue and gold fish, a laced V-neck and tassels. One size, 103 × 90 cm laid flat, 128 g. Made in India.

Rows of blue fish run down a white background, one beneath another in neat columns. Some are striped, some are dotted, and between the rows you can see the faint outlines of gold fish. This Nomad Sari kaftan is handmade in India from light cotton. It comes in one size, measures 103 × 90 cm laid flat and weighs 128 g.

A laced neckline

A strip of white fabric is threaded through the V-neck, and both ends finish in tassels. Pull it tight and tie a bow for a closed neckline, or leave it loose for a deeper V. A braided beige and gold trim edges the neck, and a white tassel hangs from each bottom corner.

A loose, square cut

Its cut is a simple square, with edges that fall over your arms as short, wide sleeves. Nothing about it clings, and on the model in the photo it reaches mid-thigh. If you are unsure about the fit, lay out a summer top you like, measure it and compare it with 103 × 90 cm.

For the beach bag and the garden

At the beach it goes over your swimsuit when you head from the water to the café or back to your room. Folded, it takes up little space next to the towel in a beach bag. On a hot afternoon in the garden or on the terrace it is just as handy, and with white linen trousers you can wear it for an evening walk.

What is a kaftan?

A kaftan is a loose, straight-cut garment that has been worn across the Middle East and North Africa for centuries. This is a short summer version of it. Because each one is made by hand, the position of the fish and the trim may differ slightly from the photo. You receive one kaftan, and the sunglasses and bracelets in the picture are not included.
