Nomad Sari Kaftan – Cream with Blue Embroidered Palms and Tassels

Cream cotton kaftan with blue embroidered palm trees, a stand collar and navy tassels. One size, 103 × 90 cm laid flat. Made in India.

A cream kaftan covered in rows of blue palm trees. Their leaves are embroidered in blue thread with dense, side-by-side stitches, and their trunks are pale gold. Behind them, paler printed palms show through like shadows. This Nomad Sari kaftan is handmade in India from light cotton. It comes in one size, measures 103 × 90 cm laid flat and weighs 128 g.

Navy stitching and three tassels

A small stand collar with a V-shaped slit sits at the neck. Below it, a rectangular chest panel is outlined in navy running stitch, with three navy tassels hanging from its lower edge. The stitching runs round it as a dashed line, like hand tacking. Another blue tassel is sewn to the corner of the curved hem. With no buttons or laces, it slips over your head.

For strolling through a seaside town

A flowery cobbled street and a market basket set the scene in the photo, where it reaches mid-thigh. If you like to spend holiday mornings at the market or by the harbour, wear it with shorts or over your swimsuit. Cream and blue bring to mind the whitewashed houses and blue windows of the Greek islands. A white canvas bag and a straw hat go well with it.

Blue with white embroidery

The same cut also comes in bright blue with cream-white embroidery and white tassels, with flowers, a small sun and an eye on the chest panel. If darker colours suit you better, take a look at that one. Both kaftans are made by hand, so the embroidery and tassels may sit slightly differently. You receive one kaftan, and the basket in the photo is not included.
