A bright mid-blue kaftan with cream-white embroidery on the chest. Inside a rectangular panel you will find three flowers with spiral centres, a small sun and an eye with lashes. A thin line of stitching frames the panel, and three white tassels hang from its lower edge. This Nomad Sari kaftan is handmade in India from light cotton. It comes in one size, measures 103 × 90 cm laid flat and weighs 128 g.
Stand collar with a slit
The neck has a small stand collar with a V-shaped slit at the front. There are no buttons or laces, so you simply slip it over your head. It is more closed than a deep V-neck, yet the slit keeps it airy.
Curved hem, tasselled corners
The hem curves, longer in the middle and shorter at the sides, with a white tassel at each corner. The edges of the square cut fall over the arms as short, wide sleeves. On the model in the photo it ends just above the knee.
From the beach to a café
The photo shows it on a sandy beach with a straw hat. Pulled over your swimsuit, it lets you stop at a café on the way back from the beach and still feel properly dressed. At home on a hot day it makes a comfortable house dress because it is loose everywhere. Blue and cream-white go well with white linen trousers or natural-coloured shorts.
Its cream sister
If you like the colours the other way round, the same cut also comes in cream with embroidered blue palms and navy tassels. Both are made by hand, so the embroidery and tassels may sit slightly differently from the photo. You receive one kaftan, and the straw hat in the picture is not included.
