A size L Nomad Sari cotton jacket in sage green and cream bands, with a soft fleece lining. A zip closes it all the way down the front, the hood tightens with a drawstring, and there are two side pockets. Cut for a 114–122 cm (45–48 in) chest, it was stitched in Kathmandu, Nepal.
For cool days, in layers
Thanks to the lining, you can wear it in place of a light coat on cooler days. When it turns colder, add a thin jumper underneath. In windy weather, pull up the lined hood and tighten the cord. On a milder afternoon it looks good open over a T-shirt.
Dark blue jeans, beige linen trousers and a white T-shirt all go well with sage green and terracotta. If you like earthy colours, you will find it easy to match with clothes you already own.
For a 114–122 cm chest
For a medium or sturdier build with a 114–122 cm chest, measured on the body, L is the right size. If you usually take an M but want to wear it over a jumper, this size leaves room for one. Above 122 cm, we recommend XL.
Block-printed by hand
Each motif is pressed onto the fabric by hand with a printing block. Traditional Hungarian blue-dye printers (kékfestő) work in a similar way, pressing their patterns onto linen with carved wooden blocks. That is why some edges are lighter and no two jackets are quite alike.
Look for the two conch shells at the bottom, and the lotus-shaped mandala and compass rose on the chest, both with the brand's NS initials. Flowers run along the sleeves. The green bands have a stone-washed, unevenly faded look, which is part of the design rather than a flaw.
