A long summer dress in a deep turquoise that leans towards teal. White embroidered flower vines decorate the bodice and the front of the skirt. This Nomad Sari dress is handmade in India from light cotton with a slightly crinkled finish. In this M–L size it is 110 cm long, 52 cm wide laid flat and weighs 144 g.
White flower vines
The embroidery starts at the neck in two curves and turns into smaller sprays below the bust. On the skirt, two long lines of flowers run all the way down to the hem. The round neck has a short slit at the front that ties with a turquoise cord, finished with a white tassel at each end.
Who is the M–L for?
If you usually wear a size M or L, this is your size. The waist seam sits high, just under the bust, and the skirt is gathered below it, so nothing is tight at the waist. Its three-quarter sleeves are puffed and gathered into a narrow band at the cuff. If you prefer a roomier fit, look at the L–XL.
A finely crinkled fabric
Tiny crinkles make up the surface of the fabric, and they are intended, not creases. Along the seams the colour is a little paler, with a washed look. Being handmade, the embroidered flowers may sit slightly differently from one dress to the next.
For lunch on a terrace
On the model, sitting on a whitewashed terrace full of flowers with coffee and a croissant, it falls to mid-calf. On holiday it will see you through the whole day with a straw hat and sandals. Back home, it is smart enough for Sunday lunch with the family. You receive one dress, and the straw hat in the picture is not included.
