What does a bowl this size offer?
The 23 cm already belongs to the larger singing bowls: it gives a deeper, richer sound that can fill a larger room or a medium-sized practice room. It is an ideal choice for you if you regularly hold group meditations or yoga classes, or if you want a serious, long-lasting piece at home. Its tone sustains long after the strike and passes on a perceivable vibration to the surroundings.
Sound and body sensation
The base tone of the 23 cm piece is deeper, and several gently layered overtones sound at the same time, so the tone is round and full. If you sit or lie close to the bowl, you feel the vibration travelling through your chest and helping your breathing to slow down. This is exactly why many people also use it for sound-bath-style practice.
Material, craftsmanship, unique character
The bowl is made of a metal alloy using traditional hand techniques. The fine signs of traditional making are well visible on the surface: small marks, warmly shimmering colour shades, hand-shaped rim. No two 23 cm Nirmala pieces ever sound exactly the same. The bowl that arrives at your home will bring its own character.
Where will it serve you well?
For opening and closing group meditations and yoga classes, for sound-bath-style practice, to introduce family quiet moments, to keep the rhythm of longer breathing exercises. If you run therapeutic or self-knowledge workshops, this size can also serve as a basic piece in a quieter room.
Care and durability
Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use chemicals or dishwashing liquid. The bowl should always stand on a soft cushion, and the striker should not stay inside the bowl. For longer periods of rest, store it in a dry, dust-free place. Cared for this way, the piece will remain a faithful, pleasantly sounding companion for decades.
