A natural pouch of jacquard fabric for keeping small things, made in India. Laid flat, each pouch measures about 15 × 12 cm, roughly the size of a postcard. The pack contains 12 pouches. Each is made in one of three designs, mixed in the pack, so some of them will be the same. You cannot choose the designs individually, and they may differ from the photo.
A pattern woven in
In jacquard fabric the pattern is formed by the threads during weaving, and nothing is printed on afterwards. That is why the pattern does not wear off the way printed paint can. Run a finger over it and you can feel the lines of the threads. Jacquard weaving is best known from tablecloths and upholstery fabrics.
What fits in a 15 × 12 cm pouch?
It holds a bracelet or a mala (a string of prayer beads), a pendulum with its chain, a few rune stones or a small crystal point. If you keep several stones in one box, it is worth giving the softer ones a pouch of their own, as harder quartz can scratch them. People who work with crystals often give each stone its own pouch, so everything stays together after use.
When you travel, your jewellery stays in the pouch and does not tangle with everything else in your bag.
Instead of wrapping paper
You can also give a stone or a piece of jewellery in a pouch. Wrapping paper is thrown away once opened, but the pouch stays, and the person you give it to can use it afterwards. A crystal point and a short handwritten card fit in it together. With twelve pouches in the pack, there are enough for your own stones and a few left over for gifts.
