This natural camphor incense is made from the crystalline resin of the Cinnamomum camphora tree. Its penetrating, fresh, clarifying smoke instantly fills and refreshes a space.
About camphor
This evergreen tree only begins to exude its bright resin crystals at around fifty years of age. In the Himalayan region it was held in high regard. Good to know: camphor's crystalline structure tends to stick together and, depending on temperature and humidity, can be more or less compact — this is not a fault. Before burning, loosen the amount you need with a pointed tool such as a knife.
Tradition and atmosphere
Tradition holds that camphor smoke gets stuck, stagnant energy moving and enlivens a space. Its penetrating freshness has a cleansing, airing quality.
How to use it
Place a very small amount on glowing charcoal in a heatproof dish, or on a sieve burner. It is strong, so a little is enough.
Responsible use
Keep away from children and always burn in a well-ventilated space. As a natural resin product, its texture and piece size will vary.
