The centuries-old history of castor oil
Castor oil has been known since ancient Egyptian times – Cleopatra is said to have used it for eyelash care. The Najel organic version is cold-pressed, so all its valuable fatty acid content remains. It has a thick, almost honey-like texture, so a small amount goes a long way.
Eyelash and eyebrow care
Castor oil is one of the most popular natural solutions for this. On clean, makeup-free eyelashes in the evening, apply the oil with a small brush or clean mascara brush. Simply wash off in the morning. After a few weeks of regular use, you may notice your eyelashes appear thicker and longer. It works the same way for eyebrows.
For hair ends and damaged hair
For hair end care, rub a few drops of castor oil between your palms, then work into the hair ends. As a hair mask, you can leave it in for half an hour or an hour before washing – wrapping the head in a warm towel helps absorption.
For skin care too
Due to its thick texture, castor oil is particularly recommended for dry, cracked skin areas: back of hands, elbows, heels. It can also be used as a body care oil in an evening ritual, but it is worth diluting with another, lighter oil – such as jojoba.
What to consider
Due to castor oil's thickness, it may leave a stain on the pillow, so for eyelash care do not apply much, just spread thinly. Store in a cool, dark place so the oil quality is preserved for a long time.
Customer ritual tips
You can integrate castor oil into your daily routine in many ways. Many of our customers use it as part of a weekend spa-evening: warm bath, hair mask, eyelash care at once. You can give yourself this small luxury on a calm Sunday evening, without any expensive service.
