The peak of Aleppo soaps: 40% laurel oil
40% laurel oil content marks the highest and most precious tier of traditional Aleppo soaps. Only particularly high-quality products contain this much laurel, as laurel oil is a much more expensive ingredient than olive oil. You receive a special, intensively effective soap.
Who should choose this version?
If your skin is sensitive, very dry, prone to problems, eczema-prone or flaky, the 40% version is the best choice. The high laurel content intensively soothes and nourishes skin while cleansing gently. It does not replace dermatological care but can complement it.
Syrian origin and tradition
The soap is made according to the traditional recipe of master soap-makers in Aleppo, Syria. Olive oil and the high-proportion laurel oil are simmered in wooden vats, cut into cubes and matured for months. During maturation a dark layer forms on the surface while the interior remains golden brown.
How to use the 40% version
For both morning and evening face and body washing. Lather with warm water in your palms, massage into your skin, then rinse with plenty of water. Can also be used for hair washing, shaving and face cleansing. As an intensive soap, you can use it less often than the classic versions.
Storage and lifespan
Store on an airy soap dish, away from water. One bar lasts up to eight to ten weeks with daily use, as it is denser and harder due to the higher laurel content. Unopened bars keep their quality for years.
The 40% Aleppo soap is treasured by collectors of traditional cosmetics who appreciate authentic craftsmanship and patient maturation. Many customers buy two bars at once — one for current use and one set aside to mature further, which only deepens its character over the following months.
