A mushroom-shaped, polished amethyst massage stone that rests well in the hand. The rounded, cool head glides gently over the skin and can be used for a calm self-massage of the face, neck or shoulders at home. The violet tones also make it a pleasant sight on a bathroom shelf.
Amethyst, the stone of calm
Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz, coloured by iron and natural irradiation. Its Mohs hardness is about 7, with major sources in Brazil, Uruguay and Zambia. In tradition it is regarded as a stone of calm and clarity, linked to the crown chakra, and seen as a support for relaxation and meditation.
How it is used
Guide the stone over the face, neck or shoulders with light pressure or soft, circular movements, over tense spots. If you like, a few drops of facial or essential oil help it glide more gently. A few-minute evening ritual to unwind.
Properties and size
The massager is made from natural amethyst and measures about 4 × 3.5 cm. As a genuine mineral, colour intensity and pattern vary from piece to piece – every one is unique.
Good to know and care
After use, wipe it with a soft, clean cloth and keep it in a dry place away from strong, direct sunlight, as amethyst's colour can fade over time. Massage is a pleasant complement to relaxation, not a medical treatment.
