A crescent moon that fits in the palm, carved from softly banded agate with a small crystalline pocket at its heart that catches the light. This agate moon is both an ornament and a calming stone to hold — for a desk, a windowsill or a meditation corner.
About agate
Agate is the banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), with a hardness of about 7 on the Mohs scale. Its concentric layers form slowly inside cavities, and tiny crystals often grow within — exactly what you see at the centre of this piece. A favourite companion for meditation, agate is traditionally regarded as grounding, and in crystal lore it is known as a stone of calm, stability and protection.
The crescent shape
The moon is an ancient symbol of change, cycles and renewal. The crescent form is therefore not only decorative but also a meaningful piece for anyone fond of moon-phase motifs at home.
Finish
The piece has a polished surface and measures roughly 4 cm. As a natural mineral, every example is unique: the exact size, shape and shade may differ from the photo, and the placement of the crystalline centre varies from piece to piece.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth. Keep away from harsh chemicals and protect from knocks.
