Sound and character
The Monolina monochord in G tuning is the crystal-clear, universal voice of the family. Its 24 overtone strings in g, 5 bass strings in G and 5 fifth strings in d combine into a particularly transparent, shimmering soundscape. Five movable bridges with a template can be placed under the upper strings to create a pentatonic major or minor melody zone above the meditative drone.
How to use
The curved underside of the G-tuned Monolina rests comfortably against the back, chest, belly or feet, making it ideal as a body monochord. It works equally well in sound baths, group meditations, yoga classes and personal practice. The koto-like melody section invites intuitive improvisation that always remains harmonic.

G is one of the most welcoming fundamentals: neither too deep nor too high, which makes it a strong first choice for anyone new to the monochord. It is also a popular base note in group circles because it pairs beautifully with other Feeltone instruments such as the Monolina C or D models.
Care tips
- Allow a few days for new strings to settle and retune frequently in the early stage.
- Pluck with a relaxed wrist and even rhythm to let the overtones bloom.
- When played with the two enclosed sticks, the instrument reveals a percussive, santoor-like character.
- To refresh the oiled surface, a small amount of hardwax oil is enough.
