The Monolina Monochord in D tuning is one of Feeltone's most popular instruments: meditative, melodic and rhythmic all at once. With 34 strings it shares the same base as the Monolini, but is considerably more versatile — under the top strings you can place 5 dividing bridges to play pentatonic major or minor melodic phrases.

Sound and character
The 24 overtone strings sound together in a rich, pearling sound carpet, supported by 5 bass and 5 fifth strings forming a deep backbone. The D tuning is the deepest of the standard-size Monolinas: thick bass, pronounced vibration. With the dividing bridges you can play koto-like melodic phrases in the upper range — at any time you can layer a spontaneous pentatonic melody that always stays harmonious. The curved underside fits perfectly to the back, legs, chest or belly, so the vibrations can also be felt directly on the body.

Care tips
- Start by plucking slowly and circularly — wait until the strings begin to vibrate together.
- Place the dividing bridges according to the template.
- Take care when placing the dividing bridges under the strings: your fingers can get pinched, and the brass pins in the bridges are sharp and pointed.
- For sound massage, lay the instrument on the client's back or legs.
- Check the tuning monthly or after intensive use.
- Do not over-tighten the strings: if a string snaps, the loose end can cause injury.
- Store at stable temperature and away from direct sunlight.
